Im November 2022 erschien das Magazin "Exodus" mit einem Bericht über den Space-Art Künstler Michael Böhme
und einer reich bebilderten Galerie seiner Bilder und einem Vorwort des Astronomieprofessors Dr.Hans-Ullrich Keller
Gründungsdirektor des Planetariums Stuttgart.

Michael Böhme, geb.1943 in Chemnitz, lebt und arbeitet in Konstanz am Bodensee.
Seine Kindheit und Jugend erlebte Michael Böhme in Plauen und Kassel. In Marburg studierte er Jura und war bis zu seiner Pensionierung als Richter und Staatsanwalt in Konstanz tätig. Für die Malerei interessierte sich Michael Böhme seit seiner frühen Kindheit. Sein intensives Studium fand fachkundige Begleitung und Förderung u.a.durch Prof. Hasso Bruse von der Staatlichen Akademie der Bildenden Künste Stuttgart. Einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit wurde er 1995 durch seine Teilnahme an der ersten Kunstausstellung im All auf der MIR-Weltraumstation bekannt. 2003 verglühten zwei Drucke von Arbeiten des international bekannten Space-Art Künstlers und Symbolisten beim Absturz der Raumfähre Columbia.
Mehrfach waren seine Bilder Gegenstand nationaler und internationaler Fernsehberichte.
Die Hauptthemen seiner Malerei sind symbolische Darstellungen von menschlichen Gefühlen und Erlebnissen einerseits und andererseits die Auseinandersetzung mit unserer bedrohten Umwelt. Wesentliche Themen seines künstlerischen Schaffens sind auch das Universum und die Poesie der Landschaft. Seine Werke werden in privaten und öffentlichen Kunstsammlungen, sowie in internationalen Ausstellungen und Publikationen gezeigt. Michael Böhme ist Mitglied des Kunstvereins Konstanz, der Künstlergilde Esslingen und der Inter Art Stuttgart, außerdem einziges deutsches gewähltes „Fellow Member“ („vorbildhafter Interpret der Space Art“) der International Association of Astronomical Artists (IAAA).
Bilderkäufe erfolgten u.a. durch Stadt Filderstadt, Regierungspräsidium Freiburg und Regierungspräsidium Tübingen.
Viele Bilder wurden in Schulbüchern veröffentlicht
Michael Böhme
Michael Böhme was born in 1943 in Chemnitz, and lives and works in Konstanz by Lake Constance.
He spent his child-and young adult-hood in Plauen and Kassel. Later, he studied law in Marburg, and until he retired he worked as a judge and district attorney in Konstanz. He was interested in painting since his early childhood. For his concentrated studies, he was given expert advice and encouragement from, amongst others, Professor Hasso Bruse from the Academy of Fine Arts in Stuttgart. Through his participation in the first art exhibition in outer space on the MIR Space Station in 1995, he was made known to a larger public. In 2003, two prints from the well-known artist of Space Art and Symbolism were destroyed when the Space Shuttle Columbia burned up upon entering the earth’s atmosphere.
His paintings were often the subject of national and international reporting.
On the one hand, the main themes of his art are the symbolic representation of human feelings and experiences, while on the other hand, the themes deal with conflicts of our threatened environment. Other essential themes of his artistic works are the universe, and the poetry of landscapes. His works are shown in private and public art collections, as well as in international exhibitions and in publications. Michael Böhme is a member of the Art Club Konstanz, the Art Gild Esslingen and the Inter Art Stuttgart. Furthermore, he was voted in to become a “fellow member”(for his exemplary interpretation of space art) of the International Association of Astronomical Artists(IAAA).
Picture sales resulted from, amongst others, the city of Filderstadt, the regional council in Freiburg and the regional council in Tübingen.
Many pictures were published in school books.
